When the Rain Comes

It’s amazing the difference a little rain makes. Ok, it wasn’t exactly a little rain.

The rainy season started last Tuesday and we had several days in a row with quite a bit of rain. When it rains, it pours, really. And this pouring brings about the following changes to the new property:

I'll let you guess which ones are befores and which ones are afters!

In general, do the people like the lush rainy season better- or is it just too soggy for them?

You hear complaints, you hear love. Just like the rainy season in Seattle, some people love it, others hate it. So far (although this is very early into my first rainy season), it rains for a few hours a day, so there is still plenty of sunshine during the rainy season. One other thing is that Nicaraguans think it's cold now. Sometimes pleseantly so, sometime too much. I can still wear jeans and a t-shirt and not be cold at all, so to me, it's still summer!
